Screen and webcam recorder. Everything stays on this machine.
Heads up: this mode writes a single video file, so your voice and the screen's audio are permanently mixed into one track. Ticking the separate mic file above keeps a clean copy of your voice.
Choosing a folder streams each recording straight to disk as it goes, instead of holding it in memory until you stop. For anything longer than a few minutes, choose a folder.
Drag the bubble to move it. Drag the blue handle to resize. Keyboard: arrows to move, + / - to resize.
This is only to check your framing and lighting. The webcam records as its own full-frame file, so you will place and shape it in your editor.
The floating window is your webcam. Minimise this window or switch apps - the recording keeps going. Drag the floating window anywhere and your face moves there in the recording too, because it is being captured off your screen rather than composited.
You are on camera. This preview is for you - it is not part of the webcam file, which records the full camera frame regardless of the shape shown here.
Recording continues if you minimize this window. Stopping the share from Chrome's own toolbar also ends the recording cleanly.
